Not sure if anybody is interested, but the Quake 3 Arena Source Code has just been released by id Software.
The code is released under the GPL, so be sure to read the licensing documentation to see what you can and cannot do with it. This distribution contains not only the source code but also various compiler tools and build 200f of the Q3Radiant map editor.
