This site says you can't do either.

This site says you can play it using Media Player Classic, so you might get some luck making it work properly on WMP.

See here for Quicktime Alternative

WMP is possibly one of the worst players out there for videos. Get a real program, like MPC (Guliverkli2 project).

Always recommend VLC Media Player ;)

I know about all those but i personally prefer the WMP
So there is no way the it can play the files i referred right?
Did you read my post? :p. You'll have to give it a try. It's definitely not supported, but it might work.Quote:

Just get a codec pack like CCCP or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and get them to install all necessary codecs. CCCP only has problems with playing MP4, it played mine without sound. Uninstalled it and used K-lite instead and it plays the MP4 with sound now... I have 2 tell ya though it's a pain to get it to work perfect. It's probably best to use another player but like you I also prefer WMP and I've got it to work ok. Not perfect but ok.

Nah Bill he does have a point, i also have a sound problem with MP4 using CCCP
I use Classic for those now but real player files still give me a problem with sound. Dam i hate real player but i can't get rid of it.
I know. I was going to put a smiley face after it, but that would have defied the point. I dunno, mine's never had problems, but I've got codecs from a few places. Maybe that's why.Quote:
