"Oz Bezarius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. Why was he cast into Abyss, how does Alice factor into it all, and what does the organization known as "Pandora" want with him..." -ANN (manga description)

The plot doesn't look too complicated at this point, or at least this first episode didn't give such an impression after reading the description beforehand. Who knows how it might have been otherwise. Nothing of utmost importance yet happened, mainly partial character introductions. Despite Masa's prediction in the Spring 2009 thread, I think this might be worth watching, provided the next episodes will move on to more concrete plot matters (as they should).
Plus since I'm an Ayako Kawasumi fan and honestly Queen's Blade is so pitiful, I'll rather invest my hopes in this one.
-
This episode seems like something out of a children's book but with somewhat more dark-themed elements like evil-looking dolls that laugh and some cloaked people wandering about. Lets see how this series progress.
-
Those dolls were a bit creepy. Otherwise, an interesting beginning to the show. I'll watch a couple more episodes before I decide to keep it or not. Too many new shows.
-
Up to episode five is out by various fansubs, but I'm sticking with Mochi. Anyway, the series is weird. Alice in Wonderland vibe, but a lot more dark motif to fit the surrounding areas. It's strangely compelling, so I might keep this series.
-
I'm sticking to Mochi as well. Their quality seems pretty solid.
I like series where the main character is forced to make some compromised decisions, like in this one make a contract with an entity that apparently is not quite pure and good. At least I hope so. I still can't say whether the main character dude has potential to turn badass or not. He's surely not a wimp but he has been lacking aims and direction.
-
So, episode four explains the motives of Sharon's team and what they want to do with Oz and Alice. Sounds reasonable since Oz is looking for the same answers anyway. I laughed when Alice went from crying to frustrated mode in a second.
-
-
I just saw a first episode - I'm totally hooked by the atmosphere.
-
After the fourth episode I'm just hoping B-Rabbit wasn't tamed too much. She was far more interesting as slightly psychotic and malicious than as a sweet girl looking for help. Well, it's not like I'd have given up hope yet. It was but a short scene, after all.

Mochi is also releasing the .avi version, but I won't bother posting them because the .mkv versions are watchable enough. Also, Anime Yoshi is subbing this anime in widescreen (as Mochi is doing at the same moment), although I did notice a simple error in their first episode, but the quality was outstanding, as usual.

I got around to watching both episodes. I like this series due to its mystery. I already knew that Raven would turn out to be Gilbert from what Oz has collected and their strong bond should be able to free Gilbert from Doldum's grip before he kills Oz. I guess ten years would be a long time, eh?
-
Raven being Gil was pretty obvious indeed. What surprised me a little was Oz's clock moving already. Seems like he doesn't really have much time to waste. However, his personality is somewhat goofy, somewhat unstable beyond all the relaxedness he tries to emit. I wish he would get down to business already, although for honesty's sake it has to be said B-Rabbit is showing even less enthusiasm for hunting down those lost memories she was so serious about in the beginning.

Two Alices? Not to mention how creepy Break can be when he tries to be. Now, I'm curious as to why Oz breaks down when his father is mentioned (other than the obvious reason), although I can probably infer that Oz's father is part of Baskerville when Gilbert stopped Oz from slashing him.
-
This show pleasantly surprised me. Too bad practically only 2 people (Kraco and Nadouku at that, who are always present in almost all threads) are discussing it here.
I initially only watched this show because of Alice, or rather her voice (Ayako Kawasumi!). I'm surprised Ryll is not watching this, considering we are both big fans of this seiyuu.
I personally liked the twist of Raven being Gil. I honestly did not expect that, and I like how Oz is handling everything. He isn't going all emo despite the fact that he was thrown into a strange world, returns to his own and realizes 10 years have passed, having his life shortened significantly due to the contract, and having people after him. On second thought, he should be breaking down by now, but that weird strength (or is it?) and lax attitude that he has makes him quite interesting as a male lead.
I love B-Rabbit. Her tough and rough attitude and arrogance are not overwhelming. She also has her soft side, which she can show maturely without going all tsundere each time. Her childlike parts also remind me of Holo, and the overall character design is quite unique.

I'm watching it too, but well i'm too busy lately to comment

Great episodes, as emotional as they are. Hopefully, some more details on Baskervilles and Pandora will be revealed as the episodes go on. Echo is a chain? She's pretty cute. :p
-
Echo is awesome, especially with the same voice as Tamaki in bamboo blade. Ryou (seiyuu) is just great at portraying the emotionless yet cute characters.
-
and emotionless yet cute female characters are the best.
-
Do you guys think that Oz's father might be part of the Baskervilles? I thought I recognized his voice from episode one, but I'm not sure. However, it would explain his hatred for Oz, since he is the key to the "Will of the Abyss" and "This thing should never have been born." phrase thereafter. I wonder what Oz would do if that were the case?
-
it is possible that he is. I've been thinking so since first ep.
