I used to get all my manga downloads from #lurk @ irchighway but seems like that channel is a bit dead at the moment. Is there any channel like that one with good bots that seemingly have an archive of most all manga released?

Irc seems to be used more for anime than manga these days. At best you can find a few bots owned by particular scanlating groups, but that's about it.
May i suggest MangaTraders and BakaBT? Between those 2 you'll probably find all you'll ever need.
