Ok, i admit i haven't read the manga. But don't forget that the anime is always hugely cut down versions, because animes take a lot longer to make and a lot of money to produce in comparison to the manga.
Meh, my guess is they've totally finished. I'm not pessimistic, it's just that if they were going to carry on, you would of thought they would of released another one by now. It's been like over 2 months since the last one now so... =P

Couldn't have said it better Ban-chan....I believe Jackal is also from Babyln city,we also need to find out about the lost children and so much more.The power they restored was only temporary,Braintrust will not allow it to slide.And talking about Braintrust,I want to see the heavy hitters behind it.
The main plot point I was waiting for really was the lost children thing with Himiko(she looks like Caska so I love her). I want to know what happens to her. Also i would like to see more of Jackal. The whole series was worth watching though just for that one moment at the end of the hospital episode.

Every anime has sub-plots, and the main plot. The sub plots, were the jobs they were required to do. The main plot, was the one of Infinite Fortress.
The Main plot has finished, because they transferred control over to the GetBackers themselves. The fight between the GetBackers and the Gods of Infinite Fortress wouldn't really have much point seeing as the control of the fortress itself has already been transferred. But i guess there is always that chance, like Lova Hina did (Love Hina Again). But i doubt it o_o;

I hope your friend is right. Legendery Nin I would also like to see what the leaders look like. I think that Egyptian dressed guy might have been on of them are at least a high ranking memeber of infinte castle. Plus I felt ripped of wiht that fight between Ginji and Cruz. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/em.../mf_jumpon.gif . Also I wanna Ban and Dr. J fight again. Damn it ok thats enough ranting. A seconded season would be greatly needed for an anime like this .
On another note did any of you know that Bare no Sekai the seconded opening was the number one single here in America.

i heard from my friend who introduced the series to me that they planned to release a second get backers series in a few months, involving newer enemies and allies, especially more from babylon city....
although i wouldve expected it to be out by now.......
