I say that Kakashi favors Sasuke the most. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif I havent read the manga and there might be a reason or something but so far, it seems like Kakashi likes Sasuke over Sakura/Naruto.
After the preliminaries, we know that Kakashi trained Sasuke and let the Eibu (cant spell ><) guy train Naruto. I doubt Eibu could have taught Naruto much ( I highly doubt he could have taught Naruto what Jiraya did) and then Neji would have probably crushed Naruto. Kakashi knew how strong Neji was from watching the prelim fight and he probably knew Naruto had no chance against him. However...he still decides to help Sasuke rather than help Naruto. (as for Sakura...he's probably given up hope on her...)
So if Jiraya wasnt there...Naruto probably would have gotten beat ( if his kyubi doesnt take over him)

Kakashi wants to help sasuke instead of naruto, i dont know why. i havent come up with a good enough answer to post.

Kakashi likes them all the same.
He trained Sasuke because they are the same type of ninja. You will find out in 66-67 what I mean by that.
The reason he had Ebisu train Naruto was because Ebisu was an expert in controlling Chakra. Something that Naruto needed to study more than what Kakashi taugh Sasuke. Again...see episode 66-67 to see what was taugh, but hell it was in the preview last ep.
He likes Naruto because in theory he is the son of his sensei.
He likes Sasuke because in theory he has his fathers(or other relatives) Sharingan.
He likes Sakura because she is the closest thing he has to a little sister.
I don't think he plays favorites at all. Perhaps he and Jiraiya had it all planned out this way.

I think Kakashi favors Sasuke because he's the one who understands how to use the Sharingan and Naruto on the other hand needs Jiraiya to teach him how to use Kyuubis Chakra.

I think Kakashi favors Sasuke because he's a Uchiha, and the theory is that one of Kakashi's teammates was a Uchiha.

I wouldnt necessarily say he favors any, with an easy look its definaiely Sasuke, but he likes things bout all his students:
Sasuke: (slight spoiler- from eps 66-67)

Sakura: she is the smartest and most attentive
Naruto: Has alot of potential and is getting stronger all the time

Ya, Kakashi just favors Sasuke because he's just like him, with the sharingan and skinny body and blah blah blah. This poll is not based on opinion, rather on facts.

yup like what you just said is a theory too. But he did say watch 66-67 to see what he means... also IT COULD BE ASSUMED that he only taught sasuke after prelim because he and sasuke are both sharingan users. Just like kakashi said when naruto when to ask him to train him.

Sasuke because probably because he can train him the best. For example he can teach him how to utalize the sharingan. Kakashi can't do that for Naruto or Sakura, he can only teach them the basics.

well in my opinion i think.....that kakashi knows that in the end naruto will surpass all , him having the nine tailed fox in him n all. but because sasuke is like one of his one kind he wants to train him n look aftre him so that he can become as strong as , if not stronger, then kakashi. but lol i think that naruto will just go berzerk with power later on......i hope http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/blink.gif

i dont think kakashi is the kinda guy to pick a favourite, and the only reason he chose sasuke over naruto was because he could train sasuke a lot betr than any1 else could. kakashi would probably train naruto with exactly the same technique as ebisu, so he saw no harm in letting ebisu taking over the reigns. i presume he likes different things in each character, but i dont think he has a favourite.

kakashi doesn't have a favourite....... he just did what was best in that situation...
sasuke was the one that needed to be trained the most because of the cursed seal....... if sasuke gets in a situation where he doesn't have enoght strenght then the cursed seal will activate and kakashi would have to kill him........ he didn't train naruto since naruto needed to train on the basics, and ebisu is an elite teacher that can teach aruto the basics better than kakashi........

that is why i don't like kakashi as much anymore. he favors sasuke, and dousn't care about sakura or naruto. if it wasn't for jiraiya, naruto would still be weak. in that month, jiraiya trained naruto more than kakashi had http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif

i'm not trying to make an example of this specific thread maker, but i seriously think some people in the Naruto (anime) forums have no common sense at all. a lot of the threads i've read/seen have been "it's obvious as daylight so let's discuss it!" threads.
i'm gonna go look for some examples...i think...maybe...
