One question about mIRC

If been using mIRC for quite a while, and I like to put the window bar at the left... the problem is that i am in many channels and in many servers and by doing so all the channels dont fit on the screen, so my question is, does anyone knows if there is an option that lets you have like a scroll in the the window bar, or does anyone know of a script that enables you to have this option?

I hope people understand what i'm asking... if not let me know and i'll try to rephrase

Sounds like a crap client if you can't scroll. Use a better irc client. I use Trillian myself, which does the job fine for me. Very use friendly too if you get a decent skin for it. I would advice the Dark Beveral skin. ^^

Well i use the one found here http://www.mirc.com/ with the sysreset script... I'll check your idea to see how it goes...

And just to make sure you understand what I'm asking... i'm talking about a scroll to scroll down the bar that has all the channels and pm's listed... anyways I dont see any scroll in my current client...

Ahh yes... this is like a build on the original irc. It kind of reminds me of how the BitTorrent system developed. First came the original client, which wasn't all that great because of the GUI and it wasn't very flexible and didn't have many features. Then came a slightly modified version (experimental) which was a little better, with better GUI and slightly more flexible features.

But it's always the side project people that seem to do the best. The original developers always end up behind somehow, and it's the people who modify the original that excel ahead. Like Shareaza using the BT Network, or like the Azuares, or shadow clients for BT.

Trillian is really the only client i've ever used for IRC, due to the fact it has all the other messengers on. So i haven't tried many IRC clients, but i didn't like the mIRC one one bit after using the Trill one.

btw, Trill may look very horrible and icky the first time around. But if you apply this Skin, it will become a hell of a lot simplier for you to understand. I would use this as a beginner skin and then after getting to know Trillian well, expand onto other skins from there.

Yep i understood what you meant btw. Trill has a scroll system for the channel listing, the server listing, the chat rooms themselves, the server status box, and basically everything where text is concerned in any way =P

Sounds good thanks... the only thing is that i dont like to have all the things like messenger and im integrated... but i think this might as well be the best choice out there...

anyone knows any other clients then?
