Absolutely no - Sasgay, Narutard, or Suckura shit in this thread. Without bias or prejudice, give an honest evaluation of Team 7's abilities. I want to see if some of you fanboys can actually do something constructive and without influence....

When comparing a character to the team, we are just talking about the Gennins, not Kakashi.
Uzumaki Naruto
Strengths -
Ninjutsu techniques are the best on his team.
Can use summoning no Jutsu.
Has the most chakra on his team.
Fairly good battle strategist.
Can tap into the power of the Kyubi, sealed within him.
Fairly good at Taijutsu.
Cares about his comrades
Wants to be Hokage, has a lofty goal.
Weaknesses -
Needs to improve his chakra control/usage.
Needs to learn some Genjutsu.
Needs to study harder, is kind of dumb when it comes to most things other than fighting, training and ramen.
Uchiha Sasuke
Strengths -
The best on his team at Taijutsu.
He is good at battle strategies and is book smart as well.
Has an advanced bloodline.
His Sharingan allows him to copy techniques and enchances his vision.
He is faster than Sakura and Naruto.
Has a longterm goal in mind.
His ninjutsu techniques are fairly good.
Weaknesses -
Egotistical and has a one track mind.
Lacks raw power.
Can be easily manipulated.
Doesn't take well to others surpasssing him.
Haruno Sakura
Strengths -
Extremely intellgent. Was able to solve the problems on the Chuunin written exam no problem.
Her Genjutsu abilities are the best on her team.
Her chakra control is the best on her team.
Weaknesses -
She is afraid of losing Sasuke, and is always worried about him.
Her goals are kind of blurry, she wants to be a good ninja, but wants to be Sasuke's girlfriend even more.
Her ninjutsu and taijutsu are rather weak.
She doesn't have a lot of raw power.

i think u covered most of them but i do have something to add about naruto's strengths: he is a battle genius in my opinion. he has made some moves like fighting kabuto and actaully allowing himself to get hurt in order to have a move accomplish. he will only become stronger i think.
sasuke: is sstronger and has potnetila b/c of his sharingan but if he isnt one tracked in revenge he oculd use it more effectivly. in essence he could go around and learn a lot of jutsus like what oro wants but in order to train himself. rather than go to oro.
sakura is weak but she keeps naruto and sasuke connected through her so thet are somewhat friends.
i will post sometime later more ideas but right now im lazy t type more. lol

haha. i dont understand y people dont like sasuke. some people says they dont like how he copies popeles fighting. well he is an UCHIHA, that is what their power is based on. the fact that he became fast like lee in a month shows how much potential he has.
naruto is cool b/c he is strong and can learn nin-jutsus like kage bunshin no jutsu (one that is not only hard to do since it requires alot of chakra but also apparently may cause the user to die quicker if used incorrectly, like the 3rd hokage since he is old and isnt strong enough to hold kage bunshin and is bad for him)
sakura i dont like since she doesnt have any real cool moves but hopefully somone styarts trianng her. like tsunade (i doubt that since she is busy being the 5th hokage. maybe her assitant could train sakura. and i just relaized we havent seen tsunades friend fight. or u know what would be cool if rock lee trains sakura and teaches her alot of taijutsu after his surgery goes succesfully
that would be awesome if she becomes uber fast.

Probably the second smartest genin.

I think that because of the massive similarity between Tsunade, Jaraiya and Orochimaru, that team 7 will be the same thing. A perver hermit who is strong as hell, a dedicated girl member who uses her brains to help her out in a fight and Sasuke becoming somewhat evil but not all out evil like Orochimaru

I'm of the opinion that what separates team 7 from Chuunin level is their lack of moves. Their battles are one dimensional because of it, and while Sasuke has the most moves, even his battles could be choreographed 2 months before the fact.
Sakura's weaknesses, at the moment, don't seem to be strength-related, but rather are courage (count how many times she yells "SASUKE!" or "NARUTO!" for an excellent lesson in frustration) and a complete and total lack of moves. The only move of hers I've seen is Damsel In Distress No Jutsu and that puts her on the level of a wheelchaired ninja.
Sasuke, given the advantage of Sharingan, has the quickest growth rate. In a fierce battle with his Sharingan eye... "activated" (?!), he could realistically learn a lot of moves all at once. Unfortunately for Sasuke, the only person he's fought that's been able to teach him things is Lee, so he's stuck (until he gets into a biiig fight) learning from a teacher, a la Kakashi or Orochimaru (hopefully!). Also, his stamina and chakra power is a severe hindrance. What could he do w/ his taijutsu if he could do a Kage Bunshin No Jutsu at Naruto's level?
Naruto is probably my favorite character of all time in Manga, made more appreciable by Kyuubi and the fact that Kishimoto acts out some of the qualities of the mythological Japanese kitsune/fox through Naruto and his style. He's a prankster, devious, and has a chip on his shoulder, allowing him to apply all his substantial chakra reserve and stamina to tackling whatever is in front of him. Unfortunately for him, Jiraiya seemed much more interested in observing the (appreciable) merits of Sexy No Jutsu than in teaching him something of value. And by something of value I mean "anything but Kage Bunshin No Jutsu." Naruto's style has become as predictable as Sakura's forthcoming "SASUKE!" screams.
I think what detracts most from this series is that the only real use of teamwork we've seen was in the Haku/Zabuza fights. So yeah, weakness: THEY FORGOT THE LUNCH TEST! TEAMWORK!

PS The situation is ripe. Sakura is at Konoha (with Tsunade), Naruto is Jiraiya's student, and Sasuke is on his way towards being Orochimaru's. Hopefully this'll be the beginning of some growth in each of them.

well for naruto to be more fox-like he need to be more slim and a little taller not that little chubby powerpack that he is now lol. a fox-like person should probably have a ponytail, be tall and slim and move with soft motions... nothign of this emplys to naruto. he will remain the little cannonball he is.

Chakra Level : Two Levels of Chakra (1) Natural Body chakra (2) Kyubi Chakra which is far greater than anyone else in the entire series, because the only person who could defeat (not kill) Kyubi was the 4th Hokage with his secret technique which no body knows except 3rd Hokage who are both DEAD now.
Leadership Level : Low
IQ Level : no known score but he is battlefield creative. He can combine several jutsus togethar perfectly and among the team 7 he is the only one who has his two original jutsus (1) Sexy no Jutsu (gives a nose bleed) (2) Harem no jutsus (combining Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and Sexy no Jutsu, Also gives a nose bleed)
He can Learn Jutsus faster than anyone else in the series (exception of Uchiha Cland and Kakashi) Took less than a month to perfect Summoning no jutsu and only a week to learn the hardest technique ever "Rasengan".
He is a hard worker.
He Cares about his friends to the point of risking his life.
Naruto Weakness:
Soft Hearted but i am sure he'll change when he kills someone for the first time.
No Genjutsu Talent.
Small Body frame which doesn't allow the greater power of kyubi to come out. as told by jiraiya. So as he grows older he is bound to become stronger.
Sasuke:
Has greatly increased in speed since becoming Genin.
Has high level of Chakra which a genin shouldn't have (according to Kakashi, During the survival training).
Has awakened the powers of Sharingan though not complete yet.
Copied Rock Lee's Taijutsu
High Level Jutsu : Chidori (Can only use twice in one day)
Basic Jutsu : Kawarimi no Jutsu, Bunshin no Jutsu, Shuriken Windmill, Shadow

Curse Seal given by Oro, Because once the curse seal activates it eats away his chakra and body. Can also be controled by Oro at anytime.

Sakura :
No visible improvements since she became a Genin. But did Learn to control her chakra far better than before because of the Chakra Control Training given by Kakashi.
Genjutsu on a good level
High Level Jutsu : None
Basic Jutsu : Kawarimi no Jutsu, Bunshin no Jutsu, Cancel
Taijutsu : Mediocre
IQ Level : no known score but very smart since she didn't require cheating in the Chunin first exam and she was the only one to solve all the problems in given time.

No high level Jutsu, Low Level of Chakra, Too concerned about Sasuke rather than training to improve herself.
Overall Team 7 Ranks below the other 6 Rookies.

c) Hinata with her special fighting style she was unlucky to have the match with Neiji but if she fought against anyone else she would have kicked major ass because there is very little defense against her attacks, and plus she was able to graduate from the academy before naruto and wasn't the idiot in the class too. i Said that because we only saw her fought once and that too with just Hyuga fighting style so she has to have some ninjutsu and genjutsu in her.

And Naruto's strength lies in his Harem no Jutsu, that beats everything. The only thing Naruto needs to improve it is the Sexy Sasuke no Jutsu and that way he can beat Michael Jackson too (cuz he is inmune to Harem no Jutsu).

Hmmm..... I'd have to disagree.... I'd say Taijutsu would be one of his weaknesses that needs improving..... it's usually very sloppy and easily avoided.

yea naruto sucks at taijutsu. just look at the final blow against gaara it was a normal headbutt, he didnt even use headbutt tecnique(and yes there are something like that) put your back into it!!! he just moved his head forward....

Naruto's taijutsu is piss-poor. All it is, is just a bunch of randomly thrown punches and kicks. It's got no real sense of organization, or style. Too generic.
But, at least he has the 1000 years of pain.
