Heavenly

Recently one of my friends at work burnt me a music cd......

the second album of a band called "Heavenly".

Holy shit, these guys are awesome! They're primarily rock/metal, but they have so many different genres thrown in, they have church-organ-type sounds in there, some Queen-esque vocals, some choir type vocals, Metallica-esque riffs, Fear Factory sounds, the list goes on. It even seems to have influences from anime music and video games. Heh.

The best way I could describe it would be a genre of its own, which I call "Vampire Rock". To me, it sounds like the type of music that would play if a vampire was present, whether it be a movie, an anime or a game. Maybe that sounds crazy, but that's what it's like to me.

Every time I ask someone about this group, nobody's ever heard of them.

Anyone here know/like them?

I've never heard of them but from your description they kinda sound a little like Cradle Of Filth (and if they're anything like that then they must be cool!). I've always said that Cradle of Filth's music would go well in a B Movie or horror film or something...(and it did go well in the film Cradle of Fear [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img])

Might have to download some tracks by them once my DVD's finished burning...

Yes, I've heard them being compared to Cradle of Filth before.... can't say I've ever listened to them though so I can't comment. I'll leech some mp3s on the weekend.
