avatar, upload? or stuck with the ones here?

is there a way i can put a pic from my comp as my avatar? theres no browse or upload button... but i see lots of people who have ones that arent in the selections

I have uploaded but I don't actually know how to set it as my icon. There doesn't appear to be an option on the 'Profile' page to change it from a default one to a custom one. Though I may be being a fool.

It appears here with the IMG tag but not when I put it as a signiture in my profile.

ok, for some extremely dumb reason you have to select that you want the uploaded pic to be your actual avatar. If you uploaded your avatar and didn't select this option, the only thing you can do is delete it, and re-upload it with the checkbox selected. -__-
