Help with Torrents speeds please.

Hey i was previously running shareaza and managed to download new epidoes of Naruto at rates of about 300-500 kb/s. Since i switched to Bit Tornado, which i believe Shadow Client has been renamed to, i only get speeds of 10 kb/s. Is this related to the client im using? my location? what? i have opened up ports 6881 - 6999. Is there any reason for this drastic drop in speed? Any comments would be appreciated.

firewall maybe, no clue, works fine for me

In shadow's experimental client, which is what I use, it has different speed options. I usually go on dsl/cable slow because my UL pretty much blows.

Could this be the case?

Mess with the speed options down there.
