Well you if loved Love Hina... well heres another series based on the mangas of Ken Akamatsu. The first episode is finally out.. i personally havent seen it yet, but its 99% done. so yea.

I was hoping the animation in this would be better, but it's seems to be following the manga... fairly accurately. I'm hoping that the poor animation budget means they intend on making this a long series and not cutting it short like Love Hina was.
I love the manga, the anime so far is decent, enough for me to continue following.
yeah I agree, they didn't follow it as close as they did with other series like SR or Bleach, like when Negi first meets Takahata...but nevertheless, it's still an enjoyable first ep...
I do not know how many eps this is gonna be, but I also hope that it'll be a long series...
Is the manga still running?
The manga is still running, I think they are around chapter 80 in Japan, I've read the first 64 chapters and it is a great series. If they plan on following the manga closely, this could easily reach a 52 episode series or longer. The Love Hina anime should've been longer than it was, so how knows how long this'll end up being.
let's hope for the best...i wouldn't mind a 52 ep series...

wel... i gueess its okay compared to the manga... its pretty good... but just intro sucks.... like not much effort was put into it... it was all repetition, but the song was good.
btw.. does anyone know where to get the manga translated past ch. 64? because meow hasnt been making releases for like 2 months now.

The first episode was nice. Okay the animation sure looks a bit cheap but looooootsa girls and all of them very differently looking. O_o Maybe a few too much if you're asking me. *shrugs*

im guessin it might be around 52 eps. the manga's only up to chapter 80-ish in japan so far, and it takes a hell of a lot of work to get a chapter done.
Meow recently released ch 65, but yeah, there are long waits between releses now, I'm glad I have the anime to watch to help satisfy my 'Mahou Sensei Negima' addiction.Quote:

I was upset about the animation when I first watched the show, but that was because my expectations were really high. After watching it a second time, I've decided it's not that bad (Naruto sometimes has episodes with worse animation afterall).
I'm really glad that so far it's seems that they will follow the manga fairly closely (minor tweaking, but nothing major), unlike what was done with Love Hina.
hey thanks for the link. but now since i know that meow is still doing it, i now have a backup for this series incase the anime sucks. but so far i guess its okay.. i cant really tell until ive seen about 3 or more epsiodes.

I liked the series so far... i hope it can bring some uniqueness and standout from the rest of the harem genre...
im still waiting for the ayu-keep version and see how they do...
I've heard good things about anime-council also...
From what I've seen from the manga it does differ from most harem series. Negima does focus alot more on the adventure then the romance. There is alot of plot focus on Negima developing as a Magi and the related adventures. They have to tone down the romance because there is only so far they can go with a ten year old. The harem related parts of the plot are more like supportive comedic elements than a main focus of plot.Quote:

well after watching the second episode, i guess the show is alright. It is a little bit changed compared to the manga, but i guess it still sticks to the main theme of it. Overall i think its okay just after watching the fisrt two episodes.
