Japanese Naruto Products

Hey there. I'm suscribed to some random japanese e-mail magazine and found a link in which I subscribed to a Naruto-only e-mail magazine. Each month or so I get a mail full of links to various Naruto products that are at least worth a look at, if only for the amusement factor. So I decided to share the love with y'all along with what my poor japanese skills are useful for.

First of all, OMG information about the new movie!!
Eiga!!

There's the poster and some information. It seems that Naruto, Shikamaru and Sakura are on a mission in a forest close to the Fire Country and the Sand Country border, trying to retrieve a lost pet, when they are attacked by a boy riding a horse. They fight but the boy defeats them and Naruto gets separated from Shikamaru and Sakura and finds Gaara.
Or so I think I understand.

Naruto Snack

For about 1.50 dollars you can now buy a Naruto snack. I don't know what it tastes like but it looks kinda... cheesy. As in cheese. Also, it seems some packets inlcude a plastic card along. They start selling on April the 14th, so if you happen to be around Japan... er, you know the drill... whatever.

VIVA Naruto 2

Remember the VIVA Rock ending? The japanese sure do. They liked it so much they even made a series of VIVA Naruto keychains, and now we have the second series. They are pretty cute, I think... we have Anbu Kakashi, which is new, as well as Tsunade and OMFG Itachi. I don't know you, but Chibi-Itachi just sounds... strange. Also, am I the only one that think that those two little frogs sure look awkward?

Pencil Cups

Er... well, that's what the site calls 'em anyway. The big deal here is that you buy the box without knowing what the hell is inside. You get one of the characters, that's sure, but you don't know which. So you have to buy a lot to get all of them.
What's worse is that it'll work wonders. When I was 7 I used to buy that kind of things like crazy. As long as it came with some candy, I didn't care if I got the same guy over and over again.

Finally,

Naruto Matsuri!!

Which is to say, Naruto Festival. I can't explain what it consists of - it's a "moveable" Naruto Festival that travels from city to city across Japan. They are heading to Osaka now. There's not much to see in that page though.

And that's all for the moment. I'll try to post more links later.

Nice! Ah those crazy Japs. I wouldn't mind one or all of those pencil... erm... cups if only for collector's value rather than practical use, and the keyrings are nice too.

And a festival? I can't imagine what would go on there, is there enough Naruto content for anything more than people in big rubber Naruto suits walking around doing odd things?

What Winged Dance said is just the tip of the ice berg. There are too many key chains/toys (what do you call the small toys series which you cannot see what you get inside, but rather given a ratio of the toy inside, for eg. 1 in 10, 2 in 5, etc?). Even now in where I live u can get all sorts of candys/toys/games/soft toys/costumes/cosplay stuff in almost every manga/toy shop. Pure overkill......

Actually, all of the Naruto little keychains/toys etc like the VIVA one, that i've come across, tell you what's inside of the box. (which I really like) Usually there is a number or a picture, telling which one is in the box, while with the One Piece ones that I have come across.. never tell what's inside >_<

It's the Pokemon Tradition. Just buy and buy and buy please! And what's worse, it works... I'll go scavenge some more links, since I remember seeing Naruto icepops. And they looked quite good, truthfully...

Haha, they got ANBU Kakashi reading a perverted book. I guess Kakashi has always been like that [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]. I wouldn't mind going to that Naruto festival if I could though. Good finds Winged Dancer!

Not all of them tell u what's inside. Even for those which do tell you whats in it, it's only written in Japanese on the top of the box. Therefore for those series which do not tell you the contents it's hard to complete the entire series without getting any duplicate toys. Thankfully, collectors can just order the entire set without duplicates for just a little more $$$.

I know not all of them do, I just said the ones that I have come across, and actually, I think except for 1 or 2, they had a picture of the one they had in the box, or a number corrisponding to the one that's in there

View of the top, which tells you which number it is (can look at the back to see the number) as well as it saying it's the metal glove set.

All of the ones I have come across are like that, such as the first VIVA, chibi figures, regular figures, etc

Yup most of them do tell you the contents. But there was this series which I was trying to get all the characters and it didn't tell. I bought around 5, and thankfully none was repeated. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

LOL @ the frog positions. What the hell? Nobody noticed how it looks back at the development departments?

Excellent idea for a thread, hot stuff. It's nice to know what's going on when it comes to things surrounding Naruto, for us without any japanese skills...

^ well u seem awfully excited...i got excited wen i saw the gloves and headband thinking "i think i'll order a bunch of these sell some to my friends and scare all the people in my neighborhood wen they look out their window and see lik 10+ guys running around in headbands and gloves.

oh wen i look again it takes away some excitement, i thought on the gloves the little white patches were metal but now i see its jus fabric, still cool though, too bad its only a prize for a sweepstake

I saw some screen shots of a naruto festival or atleast it seemed to be, I guess bandai had was doing something in america and this group of people went as naruto character.
