and the way the freeloader works, btw....is its this mini cd you put in your gamecube and run, on the screen it will say "free loader loaded, insert game now"....then you remove the cd while the gamecube is still on, then insert the japanese game, and it will run. thats all there is to it.

the play style imo is similiar though, combined with a wrestling style game

i believe its $65 now w/ free shipping since its after the pre-order time, and im not sure about now, but back then they had the game+freeloader combo for about $70
explore their site a bit and see if you can come up with the combo deal anywhere
as for the exchange rate.....its fairly close to american....it shouldnt cost you much more than $70 for the game itself (maybe [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img])

naruto is a great game
but i dont think that it is better than smash bros

i bought my copy of naruto from a japanese game store in california, so i dont know what the prices are if you order it online, i got my freeloader from gamestop (i dont know if canada has it, but some local game shops might have them). i got my freeloader for 7 bucks, but they can go up to 20 bucks.

1 player in that game is as dumb as 1 player in practically every fighting game out there
and by wresling, i mean like WWF style games that they've had for n64, gamecube, ps2...etc....where you get a 3/4 view (or whatever that angled overhead view is called) and you move around by locking onto another player and circling around him

yes neji is in the game, you have to unlock him though, and MOST characters have just 1 special move, but like smash bros, they have different unique moves using the A button and joystick, and melee attacks using the B button

is naruto's special ability kage bunshin no jutsu or is it cuubin (demon fox i cant spell japanese romanji lol) ?

his special is the naruto combo that he did to kiba in the prelims
kyuubi isnt actually a move in this game....but rather "kyuubi naruto" is a whole seperate playable character that does crazy combo attacks and his special is a huge slashing combo

kyuubi naruto is a pretty broke character [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

That would rock... but they would need some stealth levels... and I guess they would rank you every level
(genin, chuunin, jounin, hokage)


But, if they ever made it to US they would do what they did to the DBZ games, and just take a mediocre fighting engine and put the graphics on there.

But, I haven't played the Game Cube version, but plan on buying a gamecube now...


with the manuals, do they have them translated for GBA? cuz that would own tooo

... it wouldn't be on PS2... tho I wish it was... I think there's a diferent game tho... I really don't know. This game can't go for ps2 because of the 4 player mode... but ebay it... google it, or wait 1 day and get a dozen links from the bad ass dudes at this forum...

and not only is there 2 versions of naruto (regular and kyuubi), there's 2 versions of kakashi (regular and sharingan), 2 versions of sasuke (old style and new style w/ lee's taijutsu) and there's mizuki, who's pretty much a 2nd version of iruka

I just watched the game videos on IGN and the game looks to be as good or better than Soul Caliber 2! Those graphics are cool too I'll probably get that bundle with the disk that lets you play Japanese games.

When I asked for whether it was for ps2, I meant the Naruto game for ps2 itself, not this one for gamecube. So does anyone have any links or something?

yes you can set up the bots for 2nd. 3rd and 4th player
if i remember correctly, you either select if its going to be computer controlled, then which team whatever player is going to be on (2 on 2, 3 on 1, or free for all), then you choose the characters for everybody (i think the human player gets to choose whomever they want the bots to be)
there are a couple of faqs over at gamefaqs.com if you guys are interested in more information

and for the ps2, you can also find a quick preview of it in ign.com too
just go to the ps2 section, click on preview, then the letter N, and the game should show up
