4 days is just nuts when it happens to be all weekdays and during school, i thought that one sig contest that lasted several weeks worked out pretty successfully </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>

yeah, and you also made it from a template you already had
it may not take long to make a sig, but if im dealling with a project thats been assigned in january and is due this friday, a few web projects, a personal web project, a videotaping assignment and digitizing, all of which need to be done this week (well except for the personal one), then a sig is the least of my concern. Not to mention i go back and forth between work and classes such that i dont have more than 40 min of free time (that needs to be put towards getting food and whatnot) until 8pm.

hmmm, the love of high school, I need to stop slacking, I have about a 0 in all my courses at this point, btw I didnt use the same template I used a total different one but for some reason turned out almost the same.

dont worry I know how annoying school can be, although I need to start actually going, missed 8 days already...
its de-ja-vu same thing happened last time,luckily I pulled myself together, passed all 4 with a 52% avg. lol, next week is my serious beginning.
but I think the reason for the 4 days is cause Lasaire and LCD are planning on more then 1 round, so they dont want each round to be so long. But I do feel for ya, having school and work http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/sad.gif

That's exactly it:
there will be more than one round, possibly more than three or four depending on number of entrants.
Each round, the number of people passing to the next round is cut by half. I.e. if we have 10 entrants, it will take 3-4 rounds (depending on how we handle the odd number) to get to the final winner. If we take a week per round, then the contest will take more than a month!
AssertnFailure, I totally sympathize, it is 1 am my time, and I am at the computer lab. I have been here since 7 pm, and will probably stay here until 4 or 5, and I have a 9 am class back at the lab. In fact, I have classes straight from 9 am to 5:30 pm with only an hour's worth of total break time. This on top of 3 hrs of sleep. I guess what I am trying to say is, you have to prioritize, and make time to have fun and relax. If I can get a sig in (I haven't even started yet) you can.

Hehe what if you can only hold that title til there's a new winner?? Since there's gonna be more sig battles, once you win you can only hold it for a week, then you have to fight to keep it.

constant chellenges? good lord that would eat up too much of your life, i think this type of contest is better if its just every so often as kinda a special occassion.

Its not like this is even going to happen, but if it does, id agree with Albino, by the sounds of things, the "winner" is gonna be chosen in like the 4th round (isnt there gonna be people voted off each round) so that means every month there can be a whole new conest, so lets just hypothetically say this is the prize, that means at most 12 people a year (which also wont happen cause the good people will prolly win multiple times i.e. Albino, Lasaire)now considering there is bout 2000+ active members...

i think the winner(s) should be branded "Sig Champion" or something similar on the forums. like how lasaire is queen of sigs

Well that's an easy prize to hand out, and besides, what if lasaire or AlbinoFury win? Maybe those can be second and third place prizes, and have something bigger for first place.

i have an idea for the prize, let the winner be a quasi mod of the fanart section, let the winner either permanently or temporarily be a "hunter-nin" in fanart. Thats a pretty good prize Albino, its just too bad that either you or Lasaire will win (well thats the chances anyway).Especially the part about hunter-nin, the Ninja makes ya look like a damn n00b.

I second that! that is, everything you said. Every month would mean we'd have probably one round a week, and as soon as round 4 ended, we'd have to prepare for the next contest.
