my brother had an appendix surgery few months ago. for him it was almost two weeks in the hospital, followed by another two with a draining pipe in his body.
it gets better, but takes months for the scar to close down to something half normal
but, good to hear you're out of there.
Really well. I think we might be exclusive soon. Thanks for asking :)
I'm nervous as hell around her because it's been a while since I've been involved with anyone I was legitimately interested in dating more than just for the sake of it.
Stop being a drain on society and wasting taxpayer money! I bet your appendix burst after smoking too much pot, you liberal wingnut!Quote:
Also, I love the Canadian health care system. Love love love love. The hospital staff was so amazing and considerate, and all I have to pay for at the end of this is my medication (which my university will pay for through my uni health plan).
I'm kidding :') I hope you're feeling better now Kitkat.
Exclusive already? Wasn't aware you were a playboy (although you are in a band...). I totally met one of my heroes today; and she gave me a hug! I think I kind of was a little excited when I met her, and I hope I didn't scare her. Her name is Majora Carter, and here is a TED talk she gave: http://www.ted.com/talks/majora_cart...n_renewal.html
Landed my first full time job. Will start in a few weeks, and should keep my time busy and wallet fat until I (hopefully get accepted and) start a Med degree next year.
Need to get new shoes though, and quite possibly a car.
just this afternoon, i have watched a thai movie entitled "crazy little thing called love" and i was really moved by the movie.
also, i get to eat some "dirty" ice cream today. hohohoho
MY GODS, I just received kit's package and it's contents painted a huge smile on my face :D
My new Samsung lcd le32c550 just arrived, i'm on cloud 9 right now.
Hours of bedroom time with my girlfriend followed by free cheesecake, followed by shirking responsibilities and riding on a goddamned ferris wheel.
Best Sunday ever.
I know, it was awesome and they forgot to take our tickets the first time so we rode several times and I lost some face because I'm scared of heights and clung to the railings but it was great anyway.
The two free slices of cheesecake was an apology from the cafe staff because our food took ages to come out.
We are going to be travelling AN HOUR TO THE FUTURE.
Remember to change your clocks tonight, people!
This has been such a shitty past few days, lowlighted by the tragedy in Japan. Today the UFC bought out it's main competitor Strikeforce which will result in less competition in the sport, fewer shows for fans, and fewer options for the fighters. So with all that mess going on, I have to smile and know life goes on.
One of my bests friends is from Korea, but has been living in the states for a few years since she got married, and we always get into interesting arguments about cultural differences. Yesterday, she was telling me about a woman that started a fight on the subway with someone that chastised her for eating spaghetti on the train. While I thought it was horrible that someone attacked someone else, she was aghast about the fact that the woman was eating spaghetti of all things. Lots of lulz ensued (from me). I do think its rude to eat on the train, but I don't think its a capital crime as she does. Her rage was pretty funny (sorry to say).
I never considered eating on public transport being rude, but more so that eating on transport creates a chance of soiling equipment (and people in close quarters) when accidents happen (as they do on moving transport).
Or perhaps ^ that's considered "rude". I'm not entirely sure.
Your friend would be totally shocked that I ate 3 cans of spaghetti for lunch today.
I bought 4 cans actually.
A 3-pack from a brand that I knew of, and another cheaper brand that I was going to try before I invest in 3 of them for lunch tomorrow.
The order I ate them in was: cheap-known-known.
I liked the cheaper one better thanks to its more intense flavour, more pasta and less-but-thicker sauce. The second one didn't taste as nice in comparison, and I was already getting full. It took a little effort to finish it. I didn't even need to eat the third one, but I did it anyway. The fullness/esistance gave way as I ate that, as if the protective mechanism from before subsided so as to make my life easier. It knew I wasn't going to stop.
The 4th was supposed to be saved as a snack after work as I waited for the bus, but I gave it to my brother instead as it's been a while since he's had one.
Now I understand your choice of a custom title better.
