Honestly, you and about 5 other people are the only ones I expected to recognize it. That picture was old even before I joined.Quote:

That was good times. I remember that picture very well. Is the original still around here anywhere, or did it get lost to oblivion in the picture thread that disappeared? Love your version Xan, that's a great pic of you.
Python, with your hair like that, you remind me of Severus Snape.
Richard...what the f*ck did you do to your hair.......xD
You aint the only one, I got me some dreads.
Hahaha that's aweseome....
Now someone has to recreate this one:

Oy. Nah, wasn't really trying to do anything like that - I was just growing it out because I could.Quote:

Goddamn,
I'm glad I don't look like that anymore..
You look like Christian Bale in those pictures.
hahahaha those are pure classics that can't be forgotten.
Aaah the memories.
Now if only someone had a copy of that Udon photoshop that was floating around for ages.
Not really sure if people knew but I did some pre-pre-deployment trainning this past month (I just got back) and a few pictures I thought where good to share.

Yes I had the pleasure of handling this bitch of a weapon around everywhere with ammo. As well as my personally weapon.....

Never mind the face paint, first I will never ever let another person do my camo again... and I normally where only my ballistic eye wear (with shades no less) and a balaclava which covers the rest of my face.

this was the main attack where I unloaded a box and a half of ammo (About 350 rounds)

another picture of it.

My course all camo'ed up (a cookie to the person that spots me)

*sigh* half of my section looking very dumb... I'm on the right with the glasses and the balaclava. My BAG is behind me.
Nice pics! The GPMG is a fantastic platoon estab weapon, and it's a beauty as well, especially if its equipped with night fighting capabilities. I wanted to get a miniture model of it some time back, but didn't manage to secure it. Great to see your section, and they seem to be having fun training too.
I hope you had fun time cleaning the MG after firing 350 rounds... Just cleaning an assault rifle after 30 rounds is a bother (with those training rounds that are messier than real ones).
Still, you had to carry both an assault rifle and the MG? You guys have your training regimen adopted from an FPS game. You'd think the machine gun would be enough for an average warrior. Looks like you had a good time there, which is of course the most important thing. And in any case shooting with a machine gun is great fun. I hope you'll soon get your chance to try a 0.50 one if you haven't already.
what's the yellow thing sticking out of the m-16 rifle?
also, that's NOT the way to tie the military shoes, and why don't they give you decent, short m-16s? and where are the weapon straps?
(it's a national sport around here, to jost about other armies :) )
cool to see they're taking good care of you, anyway, and you seem to be doing fine, so it's all good.
Because it's the Canadian army.Quote:
