It's the first reason. The sex joke was left in, obviously, and since blood edits were done earlier in the episode, then it stands to reason that this edit is because of blood. Of course, why bother even airing this series cut when the entire series is about punching people until they bleed a lot and die? Who knows.

They DID leave blood in though, for Irukas wounds and stuff, which is why I'm saying if they allowed some blood, why not allow the least goreish part?
Think about it. In Naruto, people are getting cut on a constant basis.No blood from a stab wound is kinda odd.
Also, one good thing, was they actually did keep some blood in, instead of making it look like oil. (ravemaster, I'm looking at you, and these aren't my happy eyes)

It doesn't really take away from the scene at all. The joke is exactly the same, you just don't see the hot NarutoxSasuke action you crave so.

Shikamaru's voice sucks... he doesn't sound lazy enough. And the Hokage is really devoid of emotion. Sakura's a little whiny but everyting else sounds alright to me.
