What i find nice is that, while i've heard a lot about the american and british sides of this war, i hadn't heard anything from the japanese point of view. so i'm learning a lot. also, their reactions to what is happening to them are very realistic (how would YOU feel if you were to find yourself in the middle of a war LOST by your country). One thing (i don't believe it is a spoiler since its only minor characters saying this... and in the first ep... but what's that thing with some thinking they have a reason to be there, like the heavens sent them? is that line of thought still prevalent in Japan (finding a meaning in everything kinda stuff)?
