The first thing I would have done after being unable to identify the source of noise with my ears only, is to individually stop every spinning fan in the computer in turn. Assuming you've got the common cooling design for your video card, it's as easy as putting your finger on the middle spinning "axle" part. Don't hold them for say, more than 10 seconds, mind you .
