Perhaps people are afraid to give negative reps to a moderator for fear of divine retribution, and afraid to give positive reps because they don't want to become brown-nosers. I'm certainly trying to ignore the fact that you moderators have that position when I reply to your posts, but in the back of my head I sometimes think "Am I just kissing up?" If I remember correctly, that was another reason for the Ninja-mod system. To prevent people becoming buddy-buddy with the people in power (not that I'm accusing any of the mods of having any biases whatsoever to the regular users - but to new, less frequent users it might seem that way).Originally Posted by masamuneehs
