God damn that sucks. My whole (well, not whole, but a good chunk) childhood would have been a lot less interesting without access to any porn or violence on the web. I would've spent more time watching and videotaping hbo and other shit while it was free for a week. Not that I didn't do that anyway.
Edit: Anyone live in Australia here? I wonder if they'll keep a list of who requests access to the blocked material. I can see it now, printed lists of the so-called 'perverts' floating around. Do you really want this guy teaching your children?

I haven't read the whole article yet, but if they're restricting access to certain material, wouldn't that violate some sort of freedom of infomation act/rite
