Woohoo, I am an Endless Eight survivor having watched all eight episodes!

Though, from a neutral perspective, I would have to say that Kadokawa and Kyoto Animation has shed some light onto the anime community with our tolerance...truly, there are many issues with the audience for not being patient enough to enjoy the finer details in the six repetitions in between the first and last episodes of the arc - a negative characteristic that will probably plague the community ever more through society's perceptions of the already crippled reputation of otakus.

How can you possibly think a studio reanimating and rescripting essentially the same episode over half a dozen times specifically to jilt their audience shows any problem with the audience?

I watched the a.f.k. version and... Kyon finally speaks up and changes everything! I'll be looking forward to the next episode (hopefully, something fresh to start off with).

    Are they better than Mazui?

Well, watching them all simultaneously didn't work. Because there are actual variations between the episodes, nothing matched up completely, and I would have had scrambled brains from it all.

It actually wasn't so bad if you dropped it for a few weeks, then watched it all in one go. Maybe I wasn't big enough of a Haruhi fan to check every week, but noting the differences in each reiteration had some amusement in itself.

Granted, I was tired of it by Episode 18, so good thing it's all over.

And don't I feel sorry for Nagato.

    If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~

I can't tell ya because I haven't watched Mazui's subs. a.f.k. subs, though, are pretty good but that's because I kept up with them since the first season of Haruhi, so I might be biased. Still, check them out if you like archiving Haruhi.

I was very angry at first with the idea, but in the end I think this was kinda fun.

Also think of the anime team that had to work on each variations for each ep, feeling like they were working 8 times slower than usual Poor them.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

    This post angers me >_>

    Fun? No, anything but.

Poor them?? It was their own fucking idea.

Or was this the famous indiscernible Internet sarcasm?

The people who actually have to make the animation, the most tedious part of it at least, probably don't get a say on what goes in or out of the show. The director (or whoever came up with this idea and everyone who agreed to it) should be the ones blamed.

If you think about the number of episodes wasted on this and how we could have had a few normal Haruhi arcs instead, it's really sad.

Only now do you feel sad about it? I've been crying inside for all those 5 repeats. The 1st repeat was still fine, I think.

    If Disappearance actually disappears...

I will end my rant before it gets too crude for this site.

Only now because I watched two repeats back when they started, and didn't catch up before now. It was a very fast catch up, though...

As I mentioned before, I also caught up on this all at once like Kraco did. One good thing that came out of it was that I no longer had to focus on the subs when I've read the dialoge a few times already. It allowed me to focus on the actual screen instead of just the bottom section (like most native audiences would) and actually check out the detail and changes that took place every week. I won't go into saying how well it redeems such a decision, if at all, but that was sort of fun.

I wonder if we'll ever see a ponytail hairdo again.
