Now back to topic: What I'm thinking is that HIdan probably can't leave the circle while perfroming this technique, hence the long rage weapon. And if you remeber the last two times we saw him inside that circle was after killing Azuma's friend and when he took out the 2 tails where it actually showed as he was getting back to normal

Although i don't think he needs to stay in the circle to actually stay immortal,that'd just be stupid.I think his long ranged weapon is just something he has no jutsu for and can only use that one weapon.

And the end of killing someone for him is just a sacrifice,it's a jusu, but besides killing him and bringing him back to life is doesn't really do anything.

Point is that circle is vital to him in most of his techniques

No what I meant to say was that he needs to stay in the circle in order for the damage he takes to also effect Asuma
