I'm no boxing fan, but can anyone explain to me how he eventually started losing? What was the catalyst? I'm going to wikipedia him now This thread suddenly got me interested.

I remember reading an article sometime ago, they said that the strength of his punches is as bad as getting hit with a wrench.
Once he had the money and was the undisputed champ, he fired his longtime trainer (after Cus.) His trainer was the one who was able to get him to BOX, and controlled him in my opinion. His trainer was able to do that because Tyson was still hungry and knew he needed a good trainer. After all the money and fame, Tyson, like many other fighters, abandoned the longtime trainer who brought him up, but more than that, was able to direct his often negative energy. That is basically when he started losing his boxing skills. He will always have KO power, but without boxing abilities, he was like any brawler off the street. Then came the prison time etc.
