An interesting episode. So far this series has been steadily getting better and better, and it doesn't look like that trend would be changing any time soon. Jolly good. To be honest, I didn't expect much from this series when it began, but it surely did prove my expectations wrong.
Episode 20 XviD - Yoroshiku
That was rather quick.
Finally got around to watching 19 & 20. I wonder why Yoshimori's Kekkai are getting stronger, he doesn't seem to have been doing much new training or learning, other than learning that being closer is better. I noticed he's more or less perfected the air walk though, which may explain it. Tokine finally getting the power she has in the opening was cool too, I've always thought the Kekkai technique had a lot of interesting uses and I'm glad they're showing it through the growth of the charachters.
One thing that bugs me more and more though it Tokine's relationship with Yoshimori, I know that he likes her and she claims to not like him (lies of course), but she's always butting into his buisness when he's doing stuff that she disagrees with and it's starting to get on my nerves. Whatever weird nonsense he was about to test out before she interrupted her was his buisness and she should have just left it alone. He generally manages to handle his problems but she never seems to recognize that he can fix his mistakes.
I think that's psychologically somewhat believable (in anime terms at least): She has never admitted to herself she likes Yoshimori, and thus her caring for him has taken the form of a kind of overprotective older sister. And she's butting into his business because she likes him, yet has no other ways of showing it as long as she's not honest with herself. And why she seems to be holding Yoshimori back is not probably enviousness, at least for the major part, but simple lack of understanding, because she could never have the potential for what Yoshimori is trying to achieve in more ways than one.Originally Posted by Yukimura
