Well, the interview was long ago. Maybe they changed their plans. And nobody has gotten a new interview after that (that we know of, anyway).

The interview that I read said the fillers would end in May of 2006. Seeing as how we are almost through May, with no end of fillers in sight, this was obviously either bad information by whoever posted the interview, or an outright lie.
This is really starting to get confusing because the fillers arent ending which feels like it's never going to. Another thing many have noticed is that the manga has been slowing down also in that lately the capters are like 3 pages shorter then before, and some people are saying because the anime is getting to far. So wouldnt that mean the anime is gonna start again soon? (i hope so....)
The length of the recent chapters has nothing to do with the anime. I'm sure Kishimoto doesn't really give a shit about the anime as long as the main story isn't fucked with.
