Hmm, the best time of the year is here, anime reviews! Instead of preaching about best and worst when I haven't seen every series that aired this year I'll just list my favorites for some categories.

Favorite Male Character: Hakuoro...he's just an overall badass.

Favorite Female Character: Nagato Yuki: Silent, deadly, hax0r!
--Honorable Mention: Karura: Loud, Deadly, Sexy

Favorite Action: Black Lagoon
--While awesome, it was also pretty much the only action series of its type I remember seeing this year.

Favorite Sci-Fi: Eureka SeveN - I don't even understand why sometimes but this show just did it for me.

Favorite Horror: Blood+ (@masa Chevalier isn't even about vampires!)

Favorite Comedy: Haruhi
--Honorable Mention: Welcome to the NHK: It lost for two reasons, 1) Haruhi is Haruhi and 2) it's got too much truth to be completely written off as just comedy.

Favorite Drama: Death Note

Least Liked: Disgaea - The first anime I ever thought I'd like but didn't

Least Understood: Ergo Proxy

Biggest Letdown: Tokko - The Black Cat of '06

Favorite OP: Bleach - Rolling Star by Yui

Favorite ED: Tie between Joshikousei - incl by Meg Rock and Haruhi - Hare Hare Yukai

Most Promising: Code Geass - Gundam SEED now with more balls

Most Enjoyed Overall: Kanon - Pure emotion compressed into 23 minute servings
