    In other news, I made some knitting needles the other day. Maybe this is revealing too much of my alternate geeky sides but....well, you guys have known me long enough that it probably doesn't make a difference, hehe.

    The needles themselves I made last summer when I discovered some wooden dowels at my parents' house. I cut them the right length, sharpened them with a pencil sharpener, and then sanded them down smooth. It was only last week when I was in my local hobby shop and buying dice for craft-related purposes that it occured to me to glue some onto the ends of my knitting needles. The smaller pair will be mailed off as part of a craft swap (if the dice seem an odd size, it's because they're smaller than regular dice) and the geekier pair with the d10 and d12 will be for myself, to make more geeky knitting projects on

    so neat! with a bit of paint on the bases, you could sell those. heck, i'd buy them.
