I'm really liking this series as well, though I'm finding I like Goro a lot more than Lostman, since he's so mysterious and we don't know much about him.
One gripe I have is that the typesetting is driving me NUTS. I wish they'd out line with a color that's not so close to the main color so you could actually read the subs when the screen was bright.

I liked the fact that they used Russia to lunch Goro as first construction worker from place where first astronaut, Gagarin, was lunched.

Heh. So Japan still has troubles getting rocket designs to work at all, and Russia has troubles with reliability and probably maintenance. Not much has changed... But then again, they aren't that far in the future yet, are they? In any case, it continued the quite realistic feeling this series has been going for all the time.
But it would be troublesome to be a female astronaut (or cosmonaut) to be launched to the space from there and still try to respect traditions.
