Office refrigerator stench caused an evacuation of 325 people from the building.

    CNN article

Must have been majorly rotten food. It's a good question why it all had been left there and not eaten. Bad and wasteful habits. Or maybe AT&T people are too busy to eat.

Oh my, I wonder what kind of rotten food they left in the refrigerator to smell that bad.

So, a person confused deodorant with spot cleaner and just made it worse. How does that happen? I guess AT&T people are really binded to their work to even notice that small difference of a spray.

They say she either had surgery recently or really bad allergies, I've heard both accounts from two news outlets. She couldn't smell a thing. Not reading the labels is still no excuse.

Your avatar sums up my feelings upon reading this better than I can make do with words.

Bet this is going to earn her a stellar Darwin Award of excellence.

The french legislation passed an anti-piracy bill where they will basically use a 3 strike system. They will warn people who are dl'ing "illegal content" and the third time they will be cut off from the internet for 1 year.

I'm not sure how they will be enforcing this..

They might as well just sit you in the corner or send you to bed without dinner.

When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills

Boom in tiny bedbugs is causing big trouble

WASHINGTON — The biggest bedbug outbreak since World War II has sent a collective shudder among apartment dwellers, college students and business travelers across the nation.
Oh god, bedbugs are prowling again. Better clean your sheets carefully and don't let the bedbugs bite! This article is kind of informative, in a way.

It's only a problem when you actually GET bedbugs, right?

Is there a way to prevent them?

I never got bedbugs before because I clean my sheets like every two or three weeks. My brother and sister has gotten a case of them, but that's long history now. I only know proper cleaning is the way to prevent them, and that's from personal experience.

DDT will do the trick just fine. Search your grandfather's attic or garage for a canister.
