Actually there's been no official announcement as to that, but in a few of the videos it shows Samus using a superpowered beam and transforming into Zero-suit Samus. So it's possible you'll be able to play as both. I''m really, really hoping they are two different characters, as I main Samus pretty seriously and would hate to let her go for Brawl. But I'm still psyched about Zero-suit Samus.
I remember seeing the trailer for this game a long time ago and it blew my socks off, haha. As much as I enjoyed seeing that Zero Suit Samus and Snake are going to be in the game, my favorite new appearance has to go to Metaknight. I dunno why, but that character just defines "cool" in the cartoon world for me, haha.
Me too! There's something about MetaKnight that I really love, and watching the gameplay, it seems he fights like a faster version of Kirby, which is great since I rely on faster characters.Originally Posted by kooshi

Y'know...so Sonic could have his own music. I hope Sheik makes it into Brawl too. If he doesn't, though, I think I might take to using Pit from the looks of it.

Just reading up on this on wiki and it says "An article in the first issue of a Swedish Nintendo Magazine named +N makes a report that the known confirmed characters will be in Brawl, along with Sonic the Hedgehog as a playable character,though the magazine's credibility is questioned"

That's just the composer, and he has worked on many other games... that list is strange. For instace, Motoi Sakurai, whose work on Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos is awesome, is listed as "Golden Sun and Mario Golf."
Those are good games, but when it comes to music, who cares about Mario Golf? How can them ignore Baten Kaitos' magnificient orchestrated soundtrack, and Xenosaga's, too?
(if you haven't heard BK's OST... eh.... I'll upload a song for you later).
And actually, Power suit Samus has been confirmed - in the old site (before relaunching) in her character page, it said something like "Don't worry, you'll still be able to fight with Power suit Samus, but in some events Samus will strip her suit"
Perhaps it'll be a character like Princess Zelda in the old SSB:M, where she could transform into Sheik and back to Zelda. It'd be pretty cool, since I love double-characters.
I'm all for the Gotwoot Brawl. I'll get my ass kicked, 'cause I suck, but it'll be pretty great at any rate!
I'll probably own everyone.
