While it's of little meaning, but I got the impression Itachi was dismissing the possibility Sasori and Deidara could capture Naruto.
These were exactly my thoughts, paired with the fact that Itachi simply plays too great a part in the storyline, it's obvious who are supposed to get out of battle alive in the next upcoming episodes. Obvious also that I might be completely wrong here :P
