I noticed the charms/tags on the puppet's arms as they opened up. The summoned arms were from a ninjutsu technique? Looked like mechanical, bamboo-like arms to me. It's the first time we've seen a puppet summon anything though, even if the puppeteer's controlling it.

Can all Deidara do is chuck clay bombs? I mean, in a world with no riffles, flying around launching air strikes kicks ass, but it's got hardly any action in it. Hope he does something more entertaining when Naruto forces him to. (or Kakashi, I want to see what he's been doing these past years, Konoha's Master of Ninjitsu and all.)
