Oda said that he is about half way done. I am worried that how is he going to wrap up all the loose ends considering the 4 kings, World Government and Luffy’s dream of becoming Pirate King. I am expecting One Piece to be more involved than ever.

I've always had the climax in my head from the start, I've just been working toward it since. But my original estimates were a bit short, and I was unable to finish up my story within five years (ROFL). And now our pirates have been adventuring for nine years, and I have no idea how much longer they will be at it (hey!).

If he can keep it up with the same amount of awesomeness that it has done already, it's great news.
I like how he already has an ending, it's just getting upto that point which is making the story. Also Hawkeyes isn't one of the four apparently.
Hawkeye is a shichibukai(sp). It's unclear why he did become one considering most of the greatest pirates don't. I can't imagine Shanks or Whitebeard bowing down and taking orders from the marines which is why it's questionable why Hawkeyes would since he also seems like one with no cares for establishment or rules.
So so far we know Shanks and Whitebeard, but what I don't understand is why do they compare all of them to Whitebeard. They said the four emperors are the ones with power equal to Whitebeard, but I don't see why they'd compare the group to someone in the group... the only reason I can think of is that Whitebeard is the most famous.

Whitebeard is said to be the one closest to becoming the Pirate King, and he rivaled Gol D. Roger as far as I remember... So why wouldn't you compare them to him?
Just a comparison I guess. What other level of scale are we going to compare them to?
