I thought the chapter was good. Total teaser though, wasn't it? We need to find out how Yahiko died. No doubt the pain from losing his friend resulted in his becoming a "god".

Yeah, I am more hyped up on the Itachi/Sasuke confrontation than this one. Not that this isn't great, but the other has been so long in the making, we need to get some closure on it.

I forget which game it was, but I think it was 2 where they were like "We'll sell Metal Gears to the highest bidding country so they can easily get rid of their opposition." Payn's plan made me think of it.

And yeah, I'm a total fan of the MGS series. Too bad I got a 360, if I had money I'd get a PS3 just for MGS4, and maybe FF 13 on the side. But, oh well besides those 2 there's nothing much to look forward to unless I'm mistaken. /end offtopic post.

I think Madara got Pein to kill Yahiko in the same way Itachi supposedly killed his clan for the mangkeku sharingan. He had to kill his closest friend in order to become a "God".

I'm also thinking that maybe what Itachi wanted to tell Naruto was that Jiraiya is in danger and he better haul ass to help him.

The latter prediction is much more based on speculation though.

Would Konan support Pein if he was the one who killed Yahiko though? It seems both of them have experienced a similar change, even though Pein's might be more noticable.
