Besides, it was my understanding that doujutsu meant 'eye technique". I believe kakashi mentions it during team 7's first mission, when they encounter the 2 mist nin hiding in the puddle.

体術 - Taijutsu - Body/physical technique
幻術 - Genjutsu - Illusion arts/technique
瞳術 - Doujutsu - Eye techniques
呪印術 - Juuinjutsu - Curse techniques
封印術 - Fuuinjutsu - Sealing techniques

I think we should drop the Byakuugan/Sharingan dispute. It always comes down to individual ability. Itachi would still be a genius and a badass without Sharingan. The point is to make do with what you have. Accent your strengths to counterbalance your weaknesses. That sort of thing.
