It's more like Erased or It's a Wonderful Life.
It's more like Erased or It's a Wonderful Life.
Manga about mid-life stories probably aren't as popular and do not have large numbers in sales like shojo/shonen targets.
And even if some exist, probability is no scansub group cares...
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.
Are there adventure anime that portray death as something NOT heroic, but inherently bad?
Like, instead of some 'heroic' character choosing to sacrifice himself and saying some clichee lines right before his death - I'd like a story that actively portrays that sorta behavior as rubbish.
Kinda hard to get into without going into spoilers. And oh by the way, none of these are adventure series, they're all scifi because that's where this stuff happens in anime, not adventure series.
Anything Muvluv I guess?
Soukou no Strain, but it's been a long time since I've seen it.
RahXephon
Starship Operators
or just watch Inuyasha
Muvluv looks to be ecchi stuff. Already seen Soukou. Didn't like Raxephon.
But Starship Operators looks interesting. Thx
Is there a manga/anime where suddenly everyone can hear/read each others true thoughts? Like, lying is suddenly impossible, be it mean or polite lies. Any such story? Because I'd find that very exciting.
Not completely. but an arc from Kokoro Connect.
Peace.
Due to severe internet interruption issues today and me not knowing what to do without internet, sadlol, I'd like to ask everyone for, say, 3 anime that are REALLY good that I can then download for emergency times. You surely know some of the anime I already know, so pls dont say HXH, Monster, Death Note or such :P
Thx, it's very much appreciated!
Edit: genre doesnt matter, as long as it's GOOD
"She's the only non-loli girl in the show, your honor!" will be my defense in court

Erin the Beast Player
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~

- Space Battleship Yamato 2199
- Sora yori mo Tooi Basho
- Kaleido Star
- Ballroom e Youkoso (I *know* you've seen it, but it is very rewatchable. Done so twice myself.)
I actually rewatched Ballroom recently, lol.
Already seen Yamato and Sorayori.
Kaleido Star looks weird in yt trailer and I'm not a fan of studio gonzo, but the plot synopsis doesnt sound bad. will remember it.
thx

"After he and his entire class die on a field trip, Odamori accepts an offer from a mysterious man to be reincarnated. However his new job turns out to be that of a 'Slavemancer' with the power to dominate the minds of others and turn them into his toys, which he happily takes on. Soon however his evil actions lead to a Princess Knight (who turns out to be one of his previous, more popular classmates) being dispatched to apprehend him. But Odamori of course has something different planned for their reunion."
That synopsis just made me horny, lol

OK, looking for recommendations. I really liked shonen like One Piece and Naruto and HxH and OPM. I have seen a "lot" of anime, but it was a long time ago and I don't necessarily remember it all. I currently have Attack on Titan and Code Geass on my list to watch. I've seen like 90 episodes of Boruto but I'm behind. I'm looking for:
horror, ideally scary stuff
any of the "big name shows" I might have missed -- I didn't mention JoJo so that would have been a good one (but I've seen up through [spoiler removed] and was getting a little bored with the stupid stands)
Catch me up guys

"After all, I am strangely colored."
Are you aware of the current stuff? Otherwise there'd be Re:Zero and Attack on Titan, of course.
It's kind of a shounen for connoisseures and is less scary, more biarre, but you might enjoy Houseki no Kuni. I keep wanting to rewatch it and will do so in the near future. It's made using CG, but it's one of two good-looking CG-anime (the other is Beastars).
In terms of horror: Have you watched the movie "Gyo"? If not, I really enjoyed that one.

I don't really know what's current. Everything you mentioned is new to me and I will check it out.
"After all, I am strangely colored."
Did you watch Monster back in the day? It's seinen, not shounen, but I don't really see how horror even can be shounen? Perhaps it can, in different ways.
How about Shin Sekai Yori? It's not horror, but it presents a horrific dystopia world. It was a big name anime in its season.
Then there's also Parasyte. It carries the horror tag, and in fact has the basic setting of a classic Hollywood scifi horror movie.
I don't really know what's scary, especially in animated format. I get successful jump scares, but those mainly work on a big screen in a theater. Even since growing up, the only scary thing I ever experienced with movies was once in a movie theater, with only a few other people present, I was watching an AAA action movie, no comedy, and every time a character got killed or wounded on screen, a dude in front of me was giggling, as if it was a comedy movie with good jokes. When leaving the theater, I made sure that person wasn't following behind my back.
