As for Beck, I guess it depends on one's definition of "bigger happenings". I simply thought going into a band, meeting and playing/singing with rock stars, and touring is a lot bigger than being a normal kid in high school
especially since he becomes such a great singer and guitar player that he draws thousands of fans to the stage...
