It doesn't necessarily mean that Pein is the destined child, even if Jiraiya said "yer the one who'll cause the destruction of the world", he could just have it mixed up and confused it with Pein as he's the biggest threat at the moment.

I'm not saying that Pein is not the destined child, it's that Kishimoto has left it open for discussion.
