well but look at his arm... it is reaching out to the other side... if the other person does the same thing, then they are holding hands.
i was thinking the same thing at first
"they defeat their enemys and in the end they will face each other" but well... look how he is staying there, its not a battlestance and he doesn't wield a weapon...
if they are fighting each other in the middle, then there wouldn't be a winner you see?
there isn't another side on which Sai could draw himself with the weapons and armor of his defeated brother
and he said it is "unfinished" so he can't possibly have fought him already... its more like him waiting for his brother to come to his side, thats maybe the reason why Sai is staying with his front facing the reader ...and his side facing the person on the other site of the book, its like they are standing "side by side" once his brother gets to the middle. (unlike before, at the beginning he showed the reader his side and the enemy the front of his body)
jesus lots of edits....

Hmm didn't notice that, checking it out now. But it could be that after killing his brother he would have remorse and drew the picture like that, just to be mellowdramatic. Anyway I might be a little ahead, but could be, right? Though it's probably like you said now that I've seen the picture again.
