This chapter only makes me wonder what was in that message to Orochimaru. I bet ANBU's roots division tries to step in and deal with pain and if they win they try to declare ome kind of martial law that overrides the hokage. That would put Danzou in a good place to control stuff.

I dont know what to think of akatsuki still. Their goals are either shallow or murky. Even though they are currently attacking the village i dont think they are the more pressing enemies to worry about.
