Yes, the giant eyes in the mist is in the manga, by the way...as well as the creepy narrative.

It's neat that they did that. I mean, the beginning of the arc kinda makes it seem like Moria is the source of all of Brook's problems, but then you realize that Brook's been dead for almost 50 years in the Florian Triangle, which is way before Moria showed up. So the question becomes, "wtf was destroying all those ships before Moria that gave the
Florian triangle its bad reputation?"

Kinda reminds me of the fog giants that just turned out to be Skypian's shadows.

I would say that those who defeated Brooks crew will still be used later on as the main villains for an arc. I also suspect we will get to see Franky's dad who was also said to be a pirate.

I agree, but 100s of ships a year aren't lost from a crew of pirates with poison weapons.

I'm just saying, the place was evil, and has been since before Moria's time, and probably before Brook's time. And its neat that they hinted at that evil.
