rockmanj was so glad to receive "that item", that he had forgotten all about his payment to the witch. "Hey, you forgot..." but Nado had already disappeared from sight. For a moment, he contemplated just keeping what he owed, but then realized that he isn't that type of person....anymore, anyways. He opened the secret compartment behind his clock and removed a heavy tome entitled "Ancient Magics and You: A guide to the forbidden realms". "No one should ever possess this information, but what choice do I have? ", he thought to himself.

He dashed out of the rear entrance to his house, so as to intercept the witch, but was stopped in his tracks by a gruff, smelly marauder. "Where do you think you're going, one-eye?" rockmanj narrowed his right eye and glared at the marauder. "Who says I only have one eye, ugly?" The marauder was taken aback by the insult; "What the hell did you..." He was cut off by the swift blow to the throat from rockmanj. "I don't have time to deal with you now. Out of the way asshole" The marauder attempted to raise his rifle, but rockmanj had already gotten in close enough to incapacitate the goon, and knocked him unconscious. He sprinted to the witch's odd house, and knocked. "hmmm...I wonder if everything is ok?" Remembering an old trick from his pirating days, he picked the lock and walked inside...
