If he eventually had time to evolve he would surely become insanely powerful but to say that it was more powerful than Ichigo's current state is just stupid

But they clearly had no quams about seriously injuring Ichigo during their fight or attacking Ichigo back (http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/220/03/) and judging by a page a few down from that the vizard who was responsible for doing that didn't expect his arm to grow back that quick (http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/220/06/), if at all.
