His bounty must be ridiculous, also, i never know how the hell they manage to catch people like him, he must be insanely powerfull, but then 'they' did manage to capture Roger himself...
Is it explained or even hinted somewhere who actually managed to capture Roger?

I don't remember exactly where but if you read the manga - Spoilers removed - So I don't think we have seen a character that is capable on the marine side that is capable of handling a pirate of his level.
This is an anime thread. You aren't supposed to "read the manga" in order to know what you are talking about.
