Common 'mercan speech. It's like saying "gonna" when you mean "going to".

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

"Gonna" is cool since it's like a made-up short-hand like an unofficial "don't" instead of "do not".

"Should of" is just wrong. It's not a short-hand, but an error.

Other examples: "Try to do" vs "Try and do", "I done it" vs "I did it OR I'd done it"

That stuff all happens commonly in Australian speech too. I was just amused that they slipped up at the end after trying to make the video all professional and serious and everything.

I think it's closer to "shoulduv" which is 'mercan for the contraction "should've" but ends up sounding like "should of".

    Oh yessu I want this.

WHY DO I HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT THE EXISTENCE OF THIS SITE???????/

Maybe it's one of those sites where you buy shit in a haze, but then later you find absolutely no use for it and it just lays around and makes you look like a hoarder.

A lot of the stuff is "alright", quite a few are simply impractical.. but they're fun to look at.

There's a handful that I'd actually buy because they're both practical and aesthetically pleasing (less than 10 items).

(edit: more if you were hoarding for a certain effect - such as all the steampunk clocks and keyboards etc)

.. And then you've got shit like the Optimus Prime statue

James Joyce is disgusting. Read the second link at your own peril. One of the masters of the English language was apparently a dirty perv.

Didn't people in the early 1900s write more Shakespearean like??

Not really. Authors tended to write in a more vernacular style. Look at works by Joyce and Oscar Wilde.

Those James Joyce letters got me going down a long, dark road. Check this out, indisputable geniuses who were also perverts.

"You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood."

but nothing quite sums up Mozart's dirtiness as well as when he told his cousin that he wanted to "shit on her nose" and watch it "drip down her chin."
The fuck? I saw these people as totally dedicated to their work and not tainted by lowly, human passion. How disappointing.

I think the only way you can make such transcendent and timeless works of art is to be waist-deep in the excrement that is humanity. How else can your work speak to the filthy masses unless you yourself are even filthier?

Sapphy, your line of thinking isn't far from how some nerds think women's poo doesn't smell.
