Ditto. That site is more like, "Today something unusual or remarkable but not unpleasant happened to me."

And I've thought I saw a squirrel but didn't before. We should have a gotwoot version of My Life is Average - Anime-watchers Version, where the entries really are average.

I visited this site a few months ago and it was similar to what you were expecting with entries like

"Today I purchased an apple as part of my lunch. The apple had some bruises on it. I ate it anyway. MLIA " or
"Today, I made a joke about blondes. There was a blonde there. No one cared. MLIA"

It was pretty much just a parody of fmylife.com and rather amusing for a while, and now the majority of the entries are exaggerated or fake stories that are, like you said, anything but average.

On the subject of these type of sites, my favorite one is probably notalwaysright.com, very entertaining to read through if you have the time.

Awesome site. Reading those stories brings back a lot of good...and not so good...memories of working at my parents' grocery store.

I'd like to try it, having virtually any musical instrument at your fingertips at any given moment would be great.

I'm not sure why that made me laugh so much

    Whoooaaah, this is cool:

Open up a youtube video, any old video will do.

Replace the word "watch" in the URL with "warp.swf"

Why don't they tell us about these things??

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs

Ive heard and actually made use of this feature before, but I completely forgot about it. I think they are still user testing it since its been around for a pretty long time now.

It's quite hard to find a specific video while using it, since once you've moused over an orb, it multiplies almost instantly. Still cool, though.

Youtube collaborative project. 20 videos of people playing instruments in B flat. You can start or stop them in any order and adjust their individual volumes.

    Really pretty. Good background music.

Edit: An auto-play version, but it's missing some of the videos.

File this under things that are not supposed to be funny.

A Danish advocacy group has made the controversial flash game Hit the Bitch. In this supposed Public Service Announcement, a Danish model talks smack to you while you use your mouse or webcam to hit her in the face. a scale rates you hits from pussy to gangsta. Once you hit the bitch enough the scale reaches 100% gangsta, and the model hits the floor crying. Then the game calls you an idiot and makes you feel bad for beating a woman.

Due to overwhelming popularity (or maybe good, old-fashioned censorship), if an American tries to play this game, they get this message:
    Dear non-danish visitor,
Due to an extremely high amount of traffic "Hit the Bitch" has been limited to only allow users from Denmark.
However, domestic violence is a global problem, so please support the fight against it in your local country.
    Thanks for your interest.
    Kind regards
Children exposed to Violence at Home
But if you really want to play it, just follow This link.

So what do you think of all this controversy? Is this game an effective public service announcement? Is it a joke? Is it wrong to laugh at this? Will the load times make you want to hit a bitch?

    Personally, I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't back-hand her.

Not sure who this PSA is trying to reach. I'm no sociologist, but I'd think this kind of behavior isn't something a few minutes of walloping a virtual Danish girl can undo. If anything it's just given me an outlet for when I've had a bad day.

I did feel kinda bad when it showed her crying at the end, but I'm easily emotionally manipulated.
