A Confused Foreigner's Guide: Japanese VS Western Gaming

Not something we didn't already have an idea of, if not outright know. given the nature of our forum - but still interesting to see something "official" written up about it.

I'm a bit of a mixed bag. I love FPS, but sandbox Western RPGs haven't really taken a foothold as a favourite genre of mine. I prefer games that tell me what to do rather than let me choose.. since I end up trying to figure out the best way or order to do everything - and then end up losing interest from simply completing this off the bounty board.
