@ I must be the devil: he wants to sync him to it. Basically madara is saying he wants to make sasuke the unofficial leader of akatsuki like pein was so he doesn't have to get any heat and can continue to plot without anyone knowing he is behind it all.

Rinne Tensei and Gedo Mazo are different techniques. Rinne Tensei is the technique Pein used to revived the village after he bombed it. Gedo Mazo is the "statue" summon that apparently sucks chakra out of people's bodies and stuck its chakra rods into Nagato's spine.

I must be the Devil is wondering if Madara has been using the Rinne Tensei to stay alive for over a hundred years.

It is an interesting idea, but if it is true, it might mean there has been a long line of people with the Rinnegan.

I don't think there's ANY way that could be the case. I thought Nagato was the only one who has ever had it. Ever. Or their could have been like 6 before him. It's one of those.
Seriously, though. Doesn't the manga blatently state that there has been a long line of people with it? And if you were being sarcastic, I'm a stupid idiot and I'm sorry.

If Madara was able to stay alive for this long and then show up as Tobi, then why would he say that he was supposed use it on him instead of the village? He wasn't dead this whole time. He's been living as Tobi in the shadows?
